Up into the Postalm sun - from hut to hut
When the winter fog is raging in the valley, sun worshippers are drawn up the mountain. The feeling of slowing down sets in from the very first step, because winter hiking on the Postalm means leaving the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. Walking and hiking trails lead through a breathtaking winter landscape, over sunny slopes, from hut to hut. Once there, it's time to warm up by the fire: Warm up by the fireplace and enjoy regional fare!
With one ticket, you can take advantage of all the winter park's offers such as cross-country skiing, touring or natural tobogganing. You need a separate ticket for skiing.
Winter hiking trails on the Postalm
Präparierte Winterwanderwege machen die Postalm auch für Spaziergänger und Familien mit Vierbeinern attraktiv. Der große Rundweg lässt sich in einzelne Abschnitte unterteilen – so könnt ihr nach Lust und Laune die richtige Distanz für euren Ausflug wählen.

You can explore part of the big loop from parking lot 1. Start at the large flag between the ski school and Welser lift. Alongside the piste, you hike steadily and moderately uphill to the Rosser Hütte. Afterwards, the trail continues comfortably - parallel to the connecting trail - to the Huberhütte and then towards parking lot 3. Here you have to cross the piste and lift track - please be careful! Now you can decide how you want to go downhill: either on foot or on the toboggan run back to the parking lot!

A particularly scenic section of the winter hiking trail awaits you from parking lot 3. The groomed trail is mainly flat and leads to the Schafbergblickhütte, which you reach after approx. 30 minutes. From there, you can reach the Schafbergblick in just 10 minutes via an unprepared but mostly well-trodden path. Enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Wolfgangsee! The route back to the hut is then a short stretch along the cross-country ski trail and at the foot of the Wieslerhorn via the Wiesleralmen back to parking lot 3.

A sunny winter hike on perfectly groomed trails awaits you. Starting from parking lot 1, it leads along the piste to the Rosser Hütte and from there to parking lot 3. From here, the trail continues over gentle hills to the Schafbergblick, where you can enjoy a unique view of Lake Wolfgangsee. After 40 minutes you reach the Huberhütte. Strengthened, the last 30 minutes are downhill via the natural toboggan run, past the Stroblerhütte and Welserhütte back to the starting point.

Winterwandern querfeldein
Auch abseits der Wanderwege führen zahlreiche Pfade nach oben. Aber nicht vergessen: Wetterlage und Ausrüstung prüfen! Schneeschuhe sind hier empfohlen. Ausgehend von der Wiesleralm lohnt sich zum Beispiel der familientaugliche Aufstieg über beschneite Almwiesen zum aussichtsreichen Gipfel des Wieslerhorns. Oben angekommen hat man einen fantastischer Rundumblick auf die Berge des Salzkammerguts, insbesondere die Seeregion rund um den Wolfgangsee. Auch der Windkogel bietet sich als gemütliche Schneeschuhtour an. Über die Wiese geht’s hinauf zum authentisch schiefen Gipfelkreuz. Von hier aus schweift der Blick über die umliegenden Berge und Almen.
